Gather Around....BornAgainPop Stuns & Delights The Crowd At Fashion Week Today! Why You Need To Know Cara Elizabeth!

What is BORNAGAINPOP?  It's the mastermind project for performance artist Cara Elizabeth.  Cara's electric performances are taking New York City by storm literally "popping up" at art events, Fashions Night Out, random street corners downtown coveting an art / fashion atmosphere and just today, gracing the stairs of MERCEDES BENZ FASHION WEEK 2012.
While the trendy walked, and posed, and sat, and posed again, waiting for the camera to snap their photo - Cara simply arrived in her pop "Haring-esque" styled uniform and the crowds rushed to her.  Of course, the police weren't so welcoming...

Hmmm....police don't want me here...
What is she doing? What is her message?  Well, read on and you'll learn all about Bornagainpop and see the photos below.  And, there will be more.  Much more.  We'll be documenting her possibly again at Fashion Week or maybe in a more intimate gallery setting.  Catch the show tonight if you are in Brooklyn, or stream it live...trust us, you'll be seeing much more of her around town this fall!

Bornagainpop the TV show is an episodic television series that deconstructs American popular culture while promoting the oneness of the human family. Bornagainpop’s mandate is to promote gender equality while expanding the discussion of uncomfortable topics such as race, class, animal cruelty, gross materialism, political and religious freedom, and globalism as they relate to American society as a culture.

The objective of Bornagainpop is to reveal the rot and decomposition of old ways of thinking and in doing so promote new perceptions and advocate for world peace.
Bornagainpop’s aesthetic has been compared to the granular and video-spliced MTV mash-ups of the late 1980s but excels in presenting a message that has far more socially relevant substance for modern audiences. Rapid experimental animation combined with satirical POP performances and documentary style interviews actively work to engage the viewer as an active participant-observer in the performances. There is no peak, there is no resolution, the viewer is confronted and held and abruptly let go to decide what is right, what is just, and ultimately what is human. Bornagainpop is able to discuss serious issues while maintaining a disturbed sense of humor by reenacting the often quixotic and hypocritical disposition of American popular culture.

Bornagainpop's target audience is Americans between the ages of 15 thru 70. The show itself picks up and travels and documents not only different cities in the US but other countries as well. In Bornagainpop's current episode we travel to China, Puerto Rico, LA, Boston, Buffalo NY, and NYC.
