Enjoying GOOD DAYS POP UP SHOP in the Meatpacking District!

Art & fashion right here, the way we like it:  A new Pop-Up shop has "popped up" in the Meat Packing District full of unique clothing and street art, how perfect!   "Enjoy Good Days" located at 55 Gansevoort St. sports three levels of food, nightlife and yes, shopping - and a good bit of street art too! Open daily, the ENJOY GOOD DAYS Pop Up Shop  presents CFDA Members and New York's hottest designers; Del Toro, Whit, The Trunk, Unruly Heir, Minnie Mortimer and more.
This is the entry way downstairs with a quick piece of art by Nick Walker so you know you're in the right place. Then you'll see this huge lips mural which I loved.  Next, loads of street art surrounded by fresh designer clothing scattered about.  The atmosphere has an English boutique/graffiti/club feel with the art literally adorning every single wall.
Support the designers, have a drink, dinner, shop around some more and enjoy...

Remember they are open daily, if you are in the MePa distrcit be sure to stop in!

Nylon Magazine & Joe Fresh Paint The Town Orange!

A bit of "art," and a-lot of wearable, fun fashion at Joe Fresh last night!  Bright orange is color of the season and was the main pallet at Joe Fresh at 110 Fifth Avenue (NYC), last night for Nylon Magazine's May "Young Hollywood" Issue.  The clientele ranged from the young and hip to women in their fashionable 50's, the goal: everyone shopping for their new, summer staples!
Susannah Fielding, Gina Rodriguez & Sami Gayle, the party hosts of Nylon's Young Hollywood Party.  You've seen Sami, (a Broadway vet at only 16),  and currently on Blue Bloods and will be in the new Nick Cage film, Stolen.
Creative Brand Director; Andrew Shannon, (right) and colleague sporting the Joe Fresh look!
Nylon Press & Shannon....
Celebrity makeup artist Simone Otis (right), gave free make up consultations to the VIP guests...
DJ Steven Rojas & friend...
The fashions were all about bright colors, bold prints and more ORANGE! The shift, and the vertical striped dresses were among the favorites along with the platform sandals and swim-wear, oh and anything polka dot of course.
Let's not forget on of the sponsors either, Iceberg Vodka and music by DJ Rojas.
And tonight - back to the Chelsea galleries!

Spring Vintage Shopping on Bond Street - Selima Optique & Accessories, and more!

While walking down Bond St. last week (making my way to the art store), I stopped in the Bond 07 By Selima shop, and as usual found somethings to drool over, and go back for.  Just look at these colors!

ABOVE:This vintage style Pierre Cardin vintage poodles necklace had my name all over it, maybe one day she will be mine!
What struck me was again, the art and fashion mix, along with pops of color for spring. We Ny'ers usually lean towards black as do most boutiques but the touches of spring color were just enough to know summer is around the corner, and black gets hot!  Take a look at the vintage style art work among fabulous frocks and accessories.

Visit Angel for excellent customer service at 7 Bond St. (bet. Broadway & Lafayette.)  Full website is http://selimaoptique.com/.   To know you're on the right block, you'll see this AbFab billboard. This brings back the happiest memories, seeing Patsy & Edina near a favorite shop is heavenly!

While outside shooting the Jack Spade / Selima windows I almost walked into BILL POWERS, Half Gallery owner and judge on BRAVO's WORK OF ART.

A few more Jack Spade windows...

I saw him at least 3 times this week, maybe that's a good sign! Of course I'm not going to walk up and ask for a shot, so I'll sneak up...(don't laugh!), here's him talking with his friend.
Soon, see my photos of Jerry Saltz at the Chelsea galleries & Stacy London from the Jean Michel Cazabat event.  Meanwhile read about Stacy's STYLE FOR HIRE
company launching formally!  http://www.styleforhire.com.
