Contemporary Graffiti / Realism Artist Graces the New Chili Peppers CD!

One of my favorite realism - graffiti style - contemporary artists, Kevin Peterson recently produced this beautiful wall in Greenpoint, Brooklyn (on Franklin & Meserole St.), which is the cover art for the new Red Hot Chili Peppers CD.  A serious honor right there for both parties, the disc just came out on June 17, 2016 and is top notch.  Peterson lives and works in Houston, TX and exhibits around the globe with a gallery base in Los Angeles / Culver City, CA with Thinkspace Gallery.
This art and music equal a match made in heaven....

See more of his amazing artistic realism talent here: @kevinpetersonart and of course for the band look here @redhotchilipepers.

Graffiti Artist BL Hosts True Graff Exhibit in the E. Village

Last weekend I  was lucky to attend a true graffiti exhibit entitled "Treat Street Art Show" at Lovecraft Restaurant in the East Village a featuring NYC graffiti masters BL, Jerms, Topaz and many more collaborations.  The show was up for one night only with excellent price ranges considering all that you get on each canvas.  The first group of patrons received hand sprayed and painted train maps and prints which was of course wonderful.
Have a look at the best photos I could get.  It was very dim so tough to photograph, but pretty sure you'll only see these here - or in BL's studio.
