New York Fashion Week's Art-World Attractions

Image & story courtesy of www.artinfo.com

Wherever fashion goes, art follows — and vice versa. This New York Fashion Week, a select few with footholds in both worlds will hold exhibitions or events. Vladimir Restoin Roitfeld (the son of stylist and former Paris Vogue editor Carine Roitfeld) will kick off the festivities with his perennial fashion week opening — a favorite among supermodels, designers, and beautiful people in general — for artist Ouattara Watts. After that, London-based fashion designer Duro Olowu, a favorite of First Lady Michelle Obama, will present a group show, filled with photography, sculptures, drawings, and more, that he is curating at Salon 94 Freemans. And beginning February 10, fashion photographer and frequent Marc Jacobs collaborator Juergen Teller will show his provocative images at Lehmann Maupin. Find below  the details for those and the rest of the fashion week art events.
