Artist & Gallery Feature Alert! Barbara Bachner at Dacia Gallery, L.E.S.

You still have one week to catch the amazing artist, BARBARA BACHNER at Dacia Gallery (www.daciagallery.com), at 53 Stanton, on the Lower East Side. Bachner's solo show "Circle of Life" will run through June 1, 2012.

When I saw the information for this show, I knew I had to attend and meet the artist -- and what a wonderful experience meeting the lovely Barbara and learning a bit about her work.  In my humble opinion, these piece are beyond progressive, with colors tossing and turning - and to see them in person is a delight.  So go, you'll thank me later!  See a sample of the opening night and more about Bachner and Dacia Gallery below....

Bachner received her BA Magna Cum Laude in Fine Art from New York University and began in the atelier mode as a painter of traditional realism, receiving a diploma from the National Academy School of Art and awards and a scholarship to the Art Students League, New York City.  She developed as an abstract painter, which has been her manner of working in many media:  painting, printmaking, sculpture, installation and video. Her credentials and involvements are endless, including having work is in private and public collections, such as The Library of Congress, the Zimmerli Art Museum at Rutgers in New Jersey and the Four Seasons Hotel, Las Vegas, Nevada. This is only the tip of the iceberg of her accomplishments, see her bio on the gallery site to learn more. She has worked out of her studio in Chelsea since 1995 and has seen the continued exeuberance of the New York art scene over the years, I bet she has amazing stories to tell!
