Your Favorite Street Artists Hanging Around At Tribecas' Carini Lang!

A totally unique exhibit took place late last week as legendary street and graffiti artists were shown in carpets, that's right; designer woven carpets as the exhibit "Back Against The Wall" can be seen at Carini Lang.  Located at 335 Greenwich, Avenue in Tribeca, twenty of the most prolific names on the street spanning dozens of years have had there work uniquely transformed into by artist, curator and carpet designer Joe Carini.

Artists Dain, Beau, Rae, ELLE, Ben Eine, Cost, Enx, Jim Joe, Reader, Third World Pirate, Gilbert/Rusk, Stink Fish and many more can now be seen hanging inside - on these walls.  The pieces are so completely detailed and larger than life that you'll no doubt feel as if you're on the streets vs. a beautiful showroom.  "Post No Bills" wooden backdrops also adorn the area which artists and writers of all levels have decorated.  "Back Against The Wall" will run for at least the next month, head over to the showroom and see your favorite street artists turned into a work of art for your floors.

Joe had mentioned that this endeavor was many years in the making with a great deal of time and dedication in selection, fibers and design.  Each piece was also gently hand woven in Nepal overseen by Carini.  Have a look at his dedicated project and learn more about him and Carini Lang here: http://www.carinilang.com
