The Brilliant, Contemporary U.K. Artist DAN BALDWIN Exhibits "The End of Innocence" in NYC!

You still have a  few days to see the brilliant exhibit by British artist Dan Baldwin entitled "The End Of Innocence" located at 446-W. 14th Street, pop up gallery location.  Baldwin is one of the top contemporary artists in the U.K. and this is his first U.S. solo show that is by the way, out of this world.  The exhibit organized by PMM Art Projects and Fitz & Co., will run through November 2, 2014 so you still have time to catch this one and be inspired.
Born in 1972, his work is internationally collected by an exclusive clientele and has exhibited paintings, prints and ceramics around the world. He has enjoyed a stream of sell-out solo shows and presented his work in art fairs in Basel, Miami, L.A, Tokyo, San Francisco, London and New York. Baldwin set a personal record at Bonhams in February, 2008 when his piece Apocalypse Wow - The End of Everything sold for over $40,000, since then, his works have sold for up record numbers as his popularity grows.  And, allow me to add, he is definitely one of the nicest artists I've ever met!
Amidst the edgy brushstrokes and sinister themes, symbolism proliferates in Baldwin’s work.  From children’s storybook illustrations and images of war to nature & Vanitas, each viewer develops a highly personal response to what they see. The relationship that has been observed between Baldwin and the still life painters of seventeenth century Holland stems from his use of such symbols of life, death and mortality as the flower, the skull, the bird and rotting fruit. Baldwin recontextualizes these symbols, however, making them relevant for modern audiences. You will be highly amazed by the countless details in each piece.
