Last Friday evening, Marianne Boesky Gallery in Chelsea presented a long awaited exhibit by the "Pope of Trash" John Waters to a packed house, which you must see. The third solo show at the gallery for Waters, "Beverly Hills John" will run through February 14, 2015 at 509 W. 24th Street, New York City.
For 50 years, Waters has provoked the idiosyncrasies of the movie business and childhood stars, the trade lingo, and the false depiction of the ugly and heroic. His photograph work since 1995 has taken on politically correctness, religious lunacy and media manipulation. A few of these images are below and for more classic Waters just view your legendary copies of "Hairspray," "Polyester" or one of his other timeless classics. They must be in your library somewhere!
Have a look at the exhibit and stop by the gallery to see it in person, which is much better than these photos of photos....
