Hendershot Gallery Heats It Up With Street Art!

Hendershot Gallery is NOT slowing down this summer, thankfully.  As other galleries wind down until after Labor Day, quite the opposite here, especially with the continued, ever rising interest in street art.  This summer, the gallery will bring new additions to the show, special performances and projects around Bowery.

(Re)Print is a group exhibition  that transforms the gallery in to a print shop and project space during this time and you can purchase limited edition prints buy over a dozen street artists from around the world. Anthony Lister, ASVP, Chris Stain, Clown Soldier, Gaia, Judith Supine, Know Hope and many others are on display and up for grabs for great prices.  (See the list on the flyer below.)  Pawn Works also has their sticker vending machine dispensing high quality vinyl stickers by a network of street artists. Put 50 cents in and see who you get!
Street art is continuing to become popular throughout the contemporary art world, reclaiming public spaces their repition creates a familiar aesthetic throughout the city. Anonymous artists are becoming easily recognizable, only for their art. I'm following at least a dozen through the city, you will too once you get even more familiar.
This piece hangs from ceiling to floor, exquisite detail!
