It's not to late to catch of few of these excellent shows in Chelsea. To me, these are the best galleries (in Chelsea), that I always look forward to. This month is no exception, and make sure you stay tuned into Jonathan LeVine's updates - especially for the street art fanatics out there. Great pop up events to come, HOW & NOSM debuting February 1, 2013 at a special location!
First, a couple big favorites from Bold Hype Gallery, the exhibit: "Far Away So Close" running thru February 10, 2013, visit http://www.boldhype.net for more information. And, yes, there is a very well crafted skull, so of course I love this piece!
A close up...
Huge turnout, as always, at Jonathan LeVine Gallery for Aakash Nihalani's "Portal" exhibit....
Below: "Virtual Reality" solo exhibit from Haroshi, (Jonathan LeVine Gallery), a huge favorite was the skull below made out of skateboard decks. Most all of the art was made from this medium actually....and a bit of glass. Visit both of these solo shows thru February 9, 2013, 529 W20th St., 9th Fl., www.jonathanlevinegallery.com.
Another crowd favorite above
Invader piece on the left in the gallery's office
A print I must have by Jonathan Weiner, "Tranquil Aftermath."
Below, over to C24 Gallery, 514 W24th showing Charles Lutz, "Ends And Means," this one runs thru March 1, 2013, visit 514 W24th St., www.c24gallery.com.
Mega huge pieces of acrylic and enamel on canvas, most around 62x47. A robbery, art style...
Visit the gallery at 542 W24th St., www.lyonswiergallery.com thru February 9, 2013
Last but never least, we can't finish a post without the "Dogs Love Art" photo, and this one is insane! Yes, he is a real dog, but looks like a toy. Until he finally moves. Look for him at a gallery near you, he is priceless! (I found them at Bold Hype Gallery.)
Until next week....
