The perfect paint for the Art & Fashion Salon, get it!?
Here are a bunch of photos of the murals in progress and completed. I thought seeing a few in progress and then the completed pieces would be an interesting way to put my hundreds of photos to good use. The line up included tons of big street art and graffiti names, to mention a few, Aiko, Beau Stanton, Billy Mode, Selso, Chris RWK, Fumero, Gaia, Hellbent, Isy & Sot, Joe Iurato, Lady Pink, Never, ND'A, Royce Bannon, Russell King, Matt Siren, and many many, more. Have a look at "Part I, 'In Progress." Visit: http://adhocart.org/site/ to learn more. Here's what I saw....
Over a week ago before the event began we saw this Olek / Alice Mizrahi piece, here again Olek assembling her yarn bombing pieces on the wall with Mizrahi's portrait...
...and finished.
To the right, the elaborate sketch on the wall by graffiti veteran and legend Lady Pink...
Lady Pink and her finished work of art.
When asking her about the mural she said this was "the first time she had worked with stencils on the walls." Of course, I was blown away as it was beyond perfect. But then again, look who we are speaking about!
I was able to meet and talk with Toofly as she was one of the first finishing up her brilliantly colorful piece early....
Finito.
A great colab between Matt Siren and Russell King, I was watching the piece from mid way....
...to the finished product.
The very well known, international stencil/street artist duo from Iran, Icy & Sot are everywhere, including gracing 12th St. at WC in a big way. This (and Lady Pink's mural) are perhaps the most elaborate and finely detailed of all. Well, they all have amazing detail, impossible to pick favorites here. See how it went from this above....cleaning up the old, making way for the new...
2012 mural...
To this finished product, yes, same wall. We barely blinked and poof, it was done. You can see more of their work here: www.icyandsot.com
The King Bees working it...
Finito!
Mata Ruda & ND’A working on their masterpiece that curved around a building!
Here are a few more works in progress.....
