Rocking It At The GRAFFITI HALL OF FAME; Wild Style 30th Anniversary Mural & Meet Charlie Ahern!

Last Saturday I spent the afternoon at East Harlem's Graffiti Hall of Fame on 106th & Park Avenue.  All styles of writers/artists were out re-decorating the huge courtyard, which for over 30 years has been home to hundreds of stylish masterpieces.  The weekend event is an annual gathering to celebrate the extraordinary art movement that began here and continues to impact the world.  (I met Obe1 (Jason), from Australia who wouldn't miss it, he's the one in the red hat below.)
The 1983 WILD STYLE centerpiece (originally done by Revolt, Sharp and Zephyr), had the biggest impact recreated by The Royal Kingbees and Vase1.  Each piece was incredible, some of the artists included The Wallnuts, SERVE, and LAVA to name just a few.  Don't miss the 30th Anniversary screening of Wild Style on August 26, 2013 at  East River Park, (Lower East Side.)
Here's a look at the days happenings....
