Southern Based Street Artist PRIEST Hits The Walls Of Mecka Gallery in Brooklyn!

Last Saturday New Orleans based street artist Priest made his mark on the inside and out of East Williamsburg venue, Mecka Gallery.   While I cannot find much information on Priest as he keeps a low profile, (especially residing in the southeast), he put on a stellar exhibit.  Most of his work is seen on the streets of various cities in Alabama and Louisiana, etc., very little in NYC, so this was a treat.
A variety of original stencils, graffiti covering the walls and a southern style garage sale was placed in the center of the gallery.   Additionally, the first few people in line received a free original print while the other 50 in the door received a signed spray paint can.  Always a nice touch!
Here's what you will see outside the gallery , yes, you know you're int he right place...
Dumpster diving, a fitting theme - searching for the relic in the trash....yep, I was.
The garage sale...
The show will run through Febraury 23, 2014 and the gallery is located at 65 Meadow Street, Brooklyn, NY 11206.  For more: http://www.meckagallery.com and @meckanyc on Instagram.
