Art Basel Day One: Mr. Brainwash, Invader, Dain, Scoop NYC/Fashion Mix!

My very favorite time of year was last week, ART BASEL MIAMI!  Nothing is better (to me), than thousands of galleries all showing under the tents in one area, not to mention my most favorite Wynwood Walls.  The Wynwood Art District has  really advanced over the years becoming a major spot for galleries, contemporary art, and my other love;  street art.  I could rave on forever with tons of  details but a photo is worth a million words, so here are almost millions of photos, (almost - over the next few posts.)   Also in the next posts you'll see INVADER live, Banksy, Dain's work at Avante Gallery, best skull art / Peter Tunney's "album skulls," special artist features, SCOOP NYC presents Alexandra Grant / Clover Canyon....and so much more....

Most are of the art I especially liked beginning with the Art Basel preview night at the convention center, then to Aqua Art Fair, Pulse, Wynwood, Ink, South Beach art/fashion happenings, Scope (which was the best fair!)  Wynwood, Art Miami/Context...and more Wynwood.   I tried to show in order but I don't think thats going to happen but you'll get the idea of the "scope" of the art, etc. The best was also meeting many of the street artists for the first time - at Wynwood.  (It's hard to catch them on the streets of NYC when they are in a hurry to paste up work.)  Beginning with the "big fair" - which was a little dull for me, then to Aqua on Collins Ave., which WOKE ME UP!
